Featured in W3C Sites

Yes. It is true. minusfive | Life. Design. Minimalism. has been featured in W3CSites. Yes! Featured! As in: ’showcased in the front page’! What, you don’t believe me? Check it out by yourself! [Link] See!… Well, if you didn’t see it, then, their site was probably updated already with new sites which were showcased and mine probably went to some ‘archives’ page or something; but I promise! It used to be there!.. Oh well, at least I had my 15 minutes of fame ;)

W3CSites is a collection of web sites created by designers that conform with the W3C standards. Once again, here’s a link to their site: [Link]

The W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), is, as they put it, an international consortium where Member organizations, a full-time staff, and the public work together to develop Web standards. W3C’s mission is: To lead the World Wide Web to its full potential by developing protocols and guidelines that ensure long-term growth for the Web. There’s also a quote in their about page that I think adds to the previous explanation: “W3C Members work together to design Web technologies that build upon its universality, giving the world the power to enhance communication and commerce for anyone, anywhere, anytime and using any device.” -Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director and inventor of the World Wide Web [From W3C's about page]. Among its more than 400 members are: Adobe Systems, America Online, Apple Computers, AT&T, Google, Mozilla Foundation and Microsoft Corporation to name a few.

  1. I like to congratulate you on a job well done. It is a beautiful site and thank you for making it web standard compliant as well. I’m also an architecture enthusiast. I did a degree in Architecture in Australia a few years back. Your site will be one of the many that I will follow closely. Thanks for the writeup on Tadao Ando - a hero of mine. Keep up the good work.
